8/29/2024 day 334, Thursday, Fisherman’s Hideout

I woke up around 7:30 a.m. my girlfriend slept in. I just kind of hung out and scrolled on my phone in bed.

My girlfriend woke up around 9:00 a.m. we spent the morning together. At one point in the morning I received a call from the addiction medicine job that I applied for. The recruiter from the company said that she would have an answer for me by Tuesday. I called the other job for the nonprofit in Boston that gave me an offer and left a message letting the director know that I would know by Tuesday whether or not I got the addiction medicine job. This whole process has been stressing me out, I don’t have a lot more time to wait to secure employment.

My girlfriend got ready and around 1:00 p.m. she left to pick up her son. I got my stuff together and I drove out to the camping spot I had scouted in Lawrence. I wanted to set up a backup camp, with my small tent, in case my camp in Middleton got raided or destroyed by the weirdo that threw the old rusted bicycle in the path of my truck.

I set up my tent in a nice spot. It seems a fisherman camps here once and a while. The spot is close to the river. I took some pictures and I did a video and then I drove back to my girlfriend’s apartment when she was on her way back with her son. I spent the rest of the evening with my girlfriend and her son and we had a good time together.
