2/11/24 Day 134, Sunday, Weekends are for Family

8:00 a.m. I woke up at my girlfriend’s apartment. There’s only this week to pack. I’ve been expressing the importance of packing and downsizing to my girlfriend all last week. She has done very little, and seems to make more and more of a mess with all her belongings, especially in her room. I don’t understand why she doesn’t see or understand the importance of preparing to move into a smaller space.

10:30 a.m. I drove to my mother’s. As always I enjoy spending time with my mother, the dog Charlie, and the cat Weezy. Being sick with the RSV and the impending move of my girlfriend from a large apartment to a small one, coupled with my new job, has been causing me a lot of stress. I’m always thinking that there’s a way, I will always find a way. What is good is having family and friends and people I can lean on but I know we’ll be there for me no matter what. It’s the people that make life worth living.

4:45 p.m. I leave my mother’s house, and I drive over to my campsite. I park my truck up the secret drive I’ve created for myself. It’s like having my own driveway. I do a few videos. I’m worried about the coming snow storm. Snow is the only environmental menace that has done real damage to my tent in the past.

7:00 p.m. I have a lot on my mind. I spent some time on my phones, I wind down for the night and got to bed early. I have another work week ahead of me. There’s a lot to learn.
