My girlfriend and I slept in till around 9:00 a.m. We just stayed in all morning because it was raining. The homeless meal provider and social service provider across the street from my girlfriend’s apartment is a major hang out for a lot of homeless people and people with addiction problems. At one point a man pulled up in a Cadillac Escalade and began to fight with another man in front of Life Connections, AKA what I call Drug Connections. I was only able to videotape the end of the altercation when the man drove off in his Escalade.

Early afternoon we went out to an Italian place across town and we got eggplant parmesan with some linguine. We also got the sampler appetizer which came with cheese sticks, fried raviolis, fried zucchini, and chicken fingers. We had enough food leftover for dinner as well.

After we ate lunch we went to an ice cream place across the street. I tried to pay with a card, but it’s one of those few places that only takes cash anymore. Luckily my girlfriend had cash on her. By the time we went to the ice cream place the rain had subsided. You walked through a small park and ate the ice cream there.

After lunch we went back to my girlfriend’s apartment. We watched shows for the rest of the afternoon. We’ve been watching shows like Eric, Utopia, altered carbon, the boys, and sometimes we’ll try different stuff and if it sucks we just move on to the next show.

My girlfriend’s apartment is very small, there is no couch, so we spend a lot of time in the bed together. I look forward to a day when she and I can have a bigger place to spread out. Maybe even have a dog and a cat.

I’ve been spending a lot more time sleeping over my girlfriend’s apartment. I plan on quitting my job tomorrow which means I’ll only have two more weeks of work and then I’ll be on the road traveling, living out of my backpack, and living off of different social service providers throughout the state, while meeting homeless people along the way.
