1/21/24 Day 113, Sunday, Northshore, Cold Start

9:00 a.m. my girlfriend and I begin to move around in the tent. The cold and the sharing of blankets caused us to have a bit of a restless night. We spend some time together in the tent, and we even open the door so we can get some air and natural light and look at the forest.

By 11:00 a.m. we’re out of the tent and we’re heading out of the forest. I walk her to her vehicle and she heads out for her day’s activities. I drove to my mother’s house to visit her, the dog Charlie, and the cat weezy.

I spent the early afternoon with my mother. At around 3:00 p.m. I drove to my friend Ed’s house who lives in the same town as my mother. I’ve been invited to go on my friend Tom’s show to talk about my project, who is a huge supporter of Karen Read like myself. We also are supporting Turtleboy since he’s been falsely accused of witness intimidation and railroaded by corrupt investigators.

6:00 p.m. I leave my friend’s house and I drive back to my campsite in the forest. I parked my truck and I stopped at the market to get a drink. One thing I’ve learned is that Vitamin Water’s do not freeze. My girlfriend drinks a lot of Vitamin Waters and it’s the only drink that does not freeze in my tent in temperatures below 20° f. I hike out to my camp and I get settled in for the night.

I drift off to sleep right before 10:00 p.m. It’s a cold night and when I’m bundled up alone I sleep really well.
