2-26-2024 day 149, Monday, FEDs for Karen Read

5:00 a.m. I woke up in the tent. I laid around for a while and then I got my stuff together so I can go to work.

6:30 a.m. I arrived at work. I’m a half an hour early. When I enter the shelter I say hi to everybody and sit down and do paperwork. I’ve been building out a resource guide as well as working on building out a database of the people that we connect with out in the street.

8:30 a.m. my partner and I go out and do outreach in the street. We traveled to various areas where people are living outside. We provide supplies and we’re working on helping people get IDs and food stamps. Many people are addicted to drugs, we always ask if people would be interested in addiction treatment as well.

At 1:00 p.m. I drove out to Dedham Superior Court for the Karen Read case. When I arrived, the court was just getting ready to go in session. I sat in my truck and I watched the proceedings from my phone. Karen’s lawyer Alan Jackson disclosed that the feds had released 3100 documents related to the Karen Reed case, and that the information was exculpatory. When court adjourned for Karen Read, I hung out in front of the courthouse with all the other Karen Read supporters. There’s probably about 100 to 150 supporters outside the courthouse.

3:30 p.m. I go to a restaurant in Dedham called tavern in the square with some of my friends from the Karen Read Movement. We had a wonderful dinner, there’s about six of us.

5:30 p.m. I left the tavern in the square in Dedham and drove to my girlfriend’s apartment. When I arrived at her apartment, it was almost 7:00. Not much happens for the rest of the night just hang in, and go to sleep.
