11/23/23 Day 54, Thursday, Northshore MA, Chinese Thanksgiving with my mom

7:30 a.m. I wake up. The plan is to pick up Chinese food in Beverly, and have a Chinese Thanksgiving at my mother’s house.

I stay in the tent until around 1:10 p.m. I do a couple videos. I do a video about my support of the Karen Read movement in exposing official corruption, and I intermingle that with the corruption that goes on concerning our unhouse populations.

1:35 p.m. I’ve trekked out of the woods and reached my car. I throw my pack in the car, and I lock the bike to the bike rack. I drive to The Chinese food place and I pick up the Chinese food. When I get to my mother’s house, she has plates and silverware ready. Charlie is excited as always and smells the Chinese food. My mother and I spend some time together for the holiday. My mother feels that I will quit this project before it is finished.

4:00 p.m. My mother leaves for work and I hang around with Charlie and charge my phones.

6:30 p.m. I collect my stuff. My mother is giving me some peanuts to take to the camp. She also gave me some cookies that I shared with Charlie. I drive back out and park my car near the camp area. I bike over to the entrance to the woods and I treck out to my camp. I used an alternate route this time. I want to get used to other options in case one route is untreversible. I actually took the wrong path and got a little lost. It’s dark out, I have to pull out my maps on my phone to get repositioned. I actually like the area on this trail in the woods surrounding it would make a really good camping area. I make a mental note of that. I get back to the correct path and I follow it to my hidden campsite.8:30 p.m. I’ve laid awake long enough. I shot my phones off. I’m covered in blankets. It’s time to drift off to sleep.
