I woke up at my girlfriend’s apartment around 8:30 a.m. We spent most of the morning together, and then we decided to spend some time walking around Lowell so I could show her the various places I had visited the day before.
We stopped by the art galleries and then I asked one of the workers at the art store that was in the art gallery if there were any other cool art places around. The gentleman said that Whistler’s house, which was both a historical site and an art gallery, was down the street. So we added that one to our list.
My girlfriend and I stopped at the Worthen House Cafe after checking out a couple of galleries. I bought her an Edgar Allan Poe Raven and heart sweatshirt. We had lunch and we had a cider. After lunch we stopped at The Whistler house. This was a beautiful art museum, as well as being a piece of structural history. We ended up talking to some of the curators, and the executive director who told us it was actually whistler’s birthday
I know Lowell has a bad reputation, but the more I learn about the city the more I love it. My girlfriend and I had a great day and after our art tour we headed Back to her apartment where we spent the night.
