I woke up around 9:30 a.m. Today turned into a date day with my girlfriend. I decided not to go to handball, and my girlfriend and I drove to Rockport and visited my friend Lorianne who has a house near some of the quarries in Rockport.
We hung out and chatted with Lorianne for a while. Then we rode bikes down to the Rocky neck in Rockport. A street with a strip of small shops that ends right at the ocean. Rockport is at the end of the United States. We stopped at a store called The floating lotus that has a lot of Tibetan and spiritual items. I bought my girlfriend an OM 🕉️ symbol made out of wood. The small one since money’s been tight now that I’m not working. We walked to the ocean, and then we walked to a restaurant called Fleur Cuisine Harborside. I ordered a hamburger and she ordered a pineapple rice dish that was served inside of a pineapple.
We rode our bikes back to Lorian’s house, and as we were riding my tire began to lose air. The tire bunched up real bad which completely destroyed the tire and inner tube.
When we arrived back at Lorian’s house we got our gear together and we walked down the path to the quarries. There’s a small quarry that I like, so we set up camp right behind it.
It was around 8:30 p.m. when we were finished setting up camp and it was getting dark. We walked down the path a bit further to a private quarry called steel Derek. This is one of the most beautiful places to swim. I jumped in the water there were a few people around but we were isolated. The water was warm and I had a nice swim. My girlfriend was not too enthusiastic about swimming so she just put her feet in the water. Although, I did pull her in for a few minutes but she got scared and got out.
After we hung out by the water for a while, We went back to the camp and settled in for the night.
