7:00 a.m. wake up at my girlfriend’s apartment. I’ve been getting sicker from the RSV virus. This is concerning considering I start a new job on Monday doing outreach for the homeless. One of the good things about being sick is I don’t have motivation to continue vaping. I decided to stop all together. This is the day I quit vaping. I’ve quit two or three times before in the past 3 years. Eventually after a month or maybe a few months I’ll go back. I hope this time I can stop for good. It’s going to be a challenge since I do plan on keeping cigarettes on me to give to the people that live in the streets since it’s something they covet, it helps build stronger relations. I’ll have to be able to resist the urge to smoke one of those cigarettes myself.
9:00 a.m. I spend most of the day laying down and trying to get better. I have no idea how long the sickness will last. I did not go to handball today. It’s pretty much just a day of rest.
11:00 a.m. I cooked some raviolis, there’s really not much in the fridge, I figured Raviolis seem like the best option. After we raviolis we spend more time resting.
3:00 p.m. my girlfriend and I go to the grocery store and buy some food. We got stuff to make stir fry like rice and vegetables, and then other things. I stopped at Walgreens and picked up a covid test. I start work on Monday and I’m going to have a runny nose and a cough. I’m not going to call out my first day at work or my first week. That just looks really bad. I also have to show them that I don’t have COVID. The covid test costs about 10 bucks and it’s just a one person test.
5:30 p.m. I cook dinner which is rice stir-fry. I do the covid test as well which comes up negative. This was a down day, a day of being sick and trying to heal. There’s not much more to report besides laying around and then going to bed.
