I woke up at my girlfriend’s apartment around 8:00 a.m. I needed to head to Danvers where my truck was to get gear so I’d be prepared to start traveling again.
At around 11:00 a.m. my girlfriend and I took a whole bunch of laundry that needed washing, and we headed to Danvers and we stopped at the laundromat. We spent some time doing laundry and when that was done we drove over to my truck that is parked nearby, where I grabbed a few things from my truck that I would need in my travels.
After we had everything packed up, I took my girlfriend to China Jade in Beverly Mass where we had some Chinese food. My girlfriend noticed that her phone was missing.
The missing phone debacle turned into a big ordeal. We drove back to the laundromat, couldn’t find it there, so we drove back over to my truck and we couldn’t find it there as well. She could not access her phone through one of my phones, so we drove all the way back to Lowell where she got her work phone and was able to access her Google location, the phone was located right near where my truck was parked. I thought she might have dropped it on the ground.
It was about another 45-minute drive back to Danvers and we followed the location of her cell phone. What happened was, my girlfriend must have put her phone on the trunk of my car, and as I drove away the phone got flung and smashed on the ground. We found it leaning against a curve and the whole screen was gone. The phone was inoperable.
I felt bad about the situation, but ultimately there was nothing we could do. She had to order a new phone. We drove back to her apartment and we remorsed the loss of her phone and stayed in for the rest of the night.
