I woke up at my girlfriend’s apartment around 8:30 a.m. She plans on doing school work today and not getting her son. So her and I will just spend the day together.
Most of the morning we just hung around talking and she was doing school work. I watched some Netflix and did some scrolling on my phones.
Around 1:30 p.m. my girlfriend and I decide to go out and get something to eat at the Worthen Street Cafe. This is the cafe that is one of the oldest establishments in Lowell. It’s literally been around over a hundred years.
On our way to Worthen Street Cafe we passed the farmer’s market. They had a boombox and it was blasting music. There was a homeless man dancing in front of the boombox. I was amused by this so I decided to film him. When I started filming he was doing a booty shake and when he turned around he yelled at me for filming him. He told me to delete the video, which I did. He then got angry and yelled at me for filming him and then asked for my phone to show that I deleted it. I refused to give him my phone, and then I gave him a good stern talking to about the first amendment, and I encouraged him if he didn’t want to get filmed he shouldn’t be dancing in public like that. The man started yelling at me again and told me to give him my phone, I walked away with my girlfriend and told him to fuck off.
My girlfriend and I continued walking towards Worthen Street Cafe. This place is really cool with a lot of old paintings, old fans that were once hydro powered, and a lot of Jack Kerouac and Edgar Allan Poe stuff. The bartender told me that Edgar Allan Poe had actually started the poem The Raven while staying at the Worthen Tavern the last time I was here. My girlfriend and I sat at a table and we got macaroni bites, and I got a haddock sandwich.

There was a shelf with an AC above me with a copy of all of Edgar Allan Poe’s works. My girlfriend and I took the book down and we both took a look through it. I began to read her the story of the Raven, but she got bored with it pretty quick.

After lunch my girlfriend and I walked back to her apartment. She continues to do school work and I just keep myself busy watching some shows on streaming apps and looking at social media stuff.
Later in the evening we got stuck trying to find a show. My girlfriend picked the show, Fall of The House of Usher. The show starts out pretty interesting and it has a cool theme. The show is about a corrupt pharmaceutical mogul, who is on trial for creating and selling a pill like oxycontin that has killed hundreds of thousands of Americans. The show also has a lot of Edgar Allan Poe themes tied into it. I find this interesting since we had just visited the Worthen Tavern. The dialogue, the acting, the cinematography of the show was amazing and I became obsessed.
