6:30 a.m. I woke up at my girlfriend’s apartment. I got myself ready. I am driving to Dedham for Aidan aka Turtleboy’s hearing in court. Turtleboys case is closely interwoven with the corruption case of Karen Read.
7:30 a.m. I drove to Dedham to the courthouse. There’s a bunch of Karen Reed supporters out front and we all greet each other.
9:00 a.m. All of Turtleboy’s supporters funnel into a packed courtroom and listen as the judge hears many different cases.
Around 9:40 a.m. Aidan is brought into the courtroom. There is a reporter by the name of Grant Smith Ellis who is the son of Wendy Murphy who is acting as some type of reporter. Both Grant and Wendy have been spreading misinformation about Karen Read and Turtleboy’s cases. Grant is especially known for spreading lies, and hyperbole on Twitter about Aidan’s case and Karen Read’s case. Aiden blows Grant a kiss when he enters the glass box where he has to view the proceedings. There are no new developments in Aidan’s case, it’s just a continuation.
10:00 a.m. Everybody there for Aidan files out of the courtroom, and moves down to where the prison van is waiting to transfer Aidan back to Norfolk county jail. When the guards bring Aidan out of the court and put him in the van the crowd goes wild. Aidan is happy with all the support, you can see it in Aidan’s face. Aidan said something to the crowd I can’t hear, probably something like “Justice is coming!” The guards locked Aidan in the van and he was driven back to the jail.
10:30 a.m. I drove back to Salem. I parked at Steve’s market next to Lifebridge and I eat lunch at the shelter. After lunch I see Cryin Mike at the flagposts. Michael tells me that we have a new neighbor at our encampment. It’s Kayla. I’m a little apprehensive about this, since I believed it’s the same individual that had started a fight in the shelter a few nights before.
12:30 p.m. I drove my truck over to the parking lot next to the abandoned building owned by the council of aging in Salem. I planned on doing some work but could not focus. My friend Loriann called me and asked me if I would check out a car for her son Josh up in Nashua New Hampshire. I agreed, and we planned on meeting later in the afternoon. I’m very close with Lorianne and her family. Her two sons were my first clients after I received my recovery coach certification. I’ve grown very close to her family over the years and I’ve been there for them through many ordeals.
6:00 p.m. I met Lorianne and her son Josh near the highway in Danvers. We drive to Nashua and we meet up with The guy that’s selling the car that Josh wants. It’s a 2003 Audi A4. I looked the car over and I am surprised at what good condition it’s in. The guy wants 3000 for the car. I talked him down to $2,800. After Josh buys the car, this being his first car since he just got his license, Lorianne takes us out for burgers at Five Guys in Nashua. When we leave Five guys, I drove Josh’s new car and Josh rides shotgun with me. Lorianne takes her car home to Rockport. It takes about 50 minutes to get back to Danvers where my truck is. I hand Josh’s car over to him and he drives the rest of the way to Rockport.
9:00 p.m. I drove my truck to Salem. I parked near the Salem forest. I hiked into the woods and I sleep in my tent for the night.
HINDSIGHT: 10/25/2025
I would have slept at Michael’s camp this night, but after I learned that Kayla was sleeping there I thought it best to sleep in the Salem woods. It took me a while to understand that who I perceived as the rough and tumble guy that Michael had been hanging around with was actually Kayla. I remember I had a lot of confusion with this, because Michael kept saying Kayla and I kept asking who is this and then he would say the new homeless person that’s been hanging around. My brain was unable to connect the dots, because in my mind Kayla was a woman, when in actuality she was more manly than many men I know. I can’t remember when I finally figured it out, it could have been before this or after this day’s writing. But I was definitely confused. I’ve edited the work to include Kayla’s name since now I know that’s who Michael was talking about all along. Before I had just wrote “the individual.” I wanted to highlight this, because it became confusing for me with all the different personalities and people I encountered either briefly or multiple times while traveling around in the streets.
