6:30 a.m. I woke up at my girlfriend’s apartment. Handball starts at 8:00 a.m. today. I get my stuff ready and I say goodbye to my girlfriend.
7:00 a.m. I drive to LA fitness. I get there a little early so I scroll around on social media. The door’s open around 7:50 and when I get inside my friend Neph is already there. We grab a court and wait for the rest of the guys to show up.
8:00 a.m. We play a few real good games and more of the fellas show up to play. It’s always good spending time with handball crew. It’s one way that I keep my sanity.
10:00 a.m. I left LA fitness and I drove to Salem for a meeting that starts at noon with an organization started by college kids called Witch City Action, that helps homeless people in Salem. I parked my car near the woods where Cryin Mike’s and my camp is and I went and checked on him. I tell Mike that I’m meeting with Witch City Action He wants to come with me. I wait for him to get ready and do an informative video about my A-frame on my tent and we walk over to the flag posts together. When Witch City Action gets there they bring donations for the homeless people and they sit down and have a meeting with everybody. Some of the things they discussed were opening churches for emergency shelter, helping people in the tent city with supplies, cleaning up the mess that gets left behind at the tent city, they had gotten pallets for people to put their tents on due to flooding, and they also are low on funds. I’m excited to meet such kind and altruistic souls.
1:30 p.m. I left Salem and I drove back to my girlfriend’s apartment, and arrived around 2:30 p.m. Her and I hang out together for a little while, and then I cook more stir fry with veggies left over from the night before. We have a, kind of, early dinner. Then we watch a movie in her bed on her computer and she falls asleep in my arms. Tonight is better. It is a calm and relaxing night for us both.
